Miss Sims
has been actively involved in various extra-mural activities in local ballet circles and
has been a member of the:
Committee
of Management of the Bristol Community Dance Centre.
Advisory
Dance and Mime panel, South West Arts Association (affiliated to the Arts Council of Great
Britain)
Steering
Committee of the Regional Dance Council (South West Area)
Miss Sims has choreographed
performances for Kingswood Community Association and Kingswood Foundation. She has
also choreographed and produced a full-length ballet, The Enchanted Garden that was
performed by children and students of Classical Dance Studios.
A full length ballet, Adventures Under the Sea, was produced for Redland High Junior School and was presented as part of the end of term celebrations in their owne theatre. Also, performances have been mounted as part of other functions at Tyndale Baptist Church and in various residences for the elderly.
